Walked home from work – 4.03k/40min (uphill)
So I decided to walk home from work, and take a breather on the running front today. I woke up this morning and my knee was slightly bothering me. Case in point: listen to your body with you start to feel aches and pains – pushing it could make it worse.
So rather than run, I picked up new shoes instead. Strangely enough, I went down half a size. I think my feet are shrinking. This is not normal.
I’ve been alternating between Newton’s and Saucony’s for the past few years. And as amazing as they are, I simply couldn’t justify purchasing another pair of Newton’s. So Saucony has successfully won me over in the best friend department. Aren’t they pretty?

I’m a HUGE fan of making soup. I usually make it Sunday afternoon, because I like to use my slow-cooker (this has got to be one of the most genius inventions ever). Soup is super easy to make, and there is so much variety. Yesterday I made Chicken and Veggie with Rice.
I also made my favourite muffins – Cinnamon Applesauce. I usually make muffins (and cookies when I want a sweet tooth) from scratch, because sometimes I find muffin mixes to be too sugary and thick (if that even makes sense). These muffins are great for snacks (pre and/or post workout), as they’re not too heavy.

Did I mention I’m obsessed with Scrabble, but not very good at it? Miracles do happen – I scored a 72 point word on the weekend – JOVIAL. Who knew?
