A little DIY

Yesterday – BodyPump: 1 hour

Today – Run outside: 7.35km/5:51/43:25min

The countdown’s on! Although there’s an exclamation mark at the end of that statement, it’s more of a nervous exclamation mark than an excited one.

If I didn’t know any better I would’ve thought a tornado was ripping through the city tonight. No lie, almost blown over. That combined with the fact that I felt like I had bricks on the bottom of my feet. Big. Red. Heavy. Bricks. it was an interesting run.

The last few days I’ve been working my way through the process of staining my kitchen table. DIY! P.S. You wouldn’t believe how long it took me to figure out what DIY stood for. And that’s not an exaggeration.

I’m not very handy. Hell, I didn’t even know where to begin to look for stain at Home Depot if that’s any indication. But I think it turned out pretty OK. Minus the wretched smell it left my apartment in, it wasn’t all bad.

Oh yes, and I was introduced to Mr. Stanley today. They asked if I wanted to lift it. And of course I said no. With my luck I’d be known as that person who dented the trophy that every Canadian boy (and girl) dreams of when they’re little. It was clearly a very thought out decision.

Just looking out for the kids.
